Squirrel Information

The squirrel is a small or medium-sized rodent. It belongs to family Sciuridae and order Rodentia, the largest group of living mammals, with over 2,000 species.

Squirrels have large eyes, a coat of short fur, and bushy tails. Around the world there are over 365 species of squirrels divided into 3 types: flying, tree, and ground squirrels. Ground and tree squirrel are active during the day and night, and flying squirrels are strictly nocturnal.
